About us
Zion Care Organization (ZICAO) is a registered local non-governmental organization (Reg. No. 00NGO/00004415) based in Arusha region, that empowers women especially widows and people with disabilities on entrepreneurship skills and young people on life kills, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) using innovative, solution-focused and participatory approaches and provides psychosocial support to Most Vulnerable Children (MVC) and their families, giving free and quality education to children, likely; street children, orphans, children with special needs and children from low-income families. Zion Care organization started on 11th March 2011 as a non-profit organization.

Our Mission: 

To raise awareness and advocate for policies that will improve the lives of Tanzania’s most marginalized children – including those from low-income families – by providing them with access to high-quality education, healthcare, and nutrition, as well as clean water, sanitary conditions, and economic empowerment for women, the abolition of child abuse, and awareness-raising.

Our Vision: 

A healthier, more protective, inclusive, and all-around better world for kids, teenagers and vulnerable people.

Our Goals:

  • Provide a home for homeless orphans and disowned widows.
  • Reach widows, orphans and disable people within the community trough availing essential items notably clothes, food and household items.
  • Manage income generating activities and destining all generated income to the activities supporting the mission of the organization
  • Establish Educational and Training programs for orphans, disabled and other needy group.
  • Establish Community Centers that will provide basic life sustaining skills for the widows and extra curriculum courses for orphans and other needy groups.
  • Encourage widows to participate into and income generating activities hence creation of self- employment, though training and giving mutual support to widows, orphans, disabled and other groups of the community.
  • Promote environmental protection though taking care environment, planting trees and environmental cleaning activities.
